How to supplement your courses with Step 1 resources

Medical students often use USMLE Step 1 resources to supplement their M1 and M2 courses, especially anatomy, pathology, and microbiology chapters and videos. To set a schedule that includes supplemental tasks from Step 1 resources, follow these steps.

1
Add a course to your schedule. For step by step instructions, watch our instructional video.
2
From the Edit Schedule page, select Add a standardized exam and create a study block. Choose start and end dates that match the dates of your course.
3
Select Step 1 resources. Choose only the relevant chapters and lectures. Many students create a subject-specific study block (e.g. a study block with the same dates as their course, which contains only Microbiology chapters and videos).
4
Sort your study block by subject. Drag and drop subjects to rearrange them. Choose an order that matches your the order of your syllabus.
5
Tinker with your scheduleMove tasks so that your supplemental tasks cover the specific topic that class lectures will cover on that day.
